Entering Material Safety Data
Sheets into a MSDS Management software system is an
important issue to address when opting for a
computerized solution. MSDS data entry can be done by
MAXCOM or the end-user. Manually keying MSDSs
into a uniform, 16-section format, using a word
processing program to create a free format, electronic
transfers directly from the manufacturer's Internet
site or CD, utilizing the MAXCOM MSDS Repository of
over 200,000 MSDSs and scanning with partial data entry are all available
options. Our professional Data Entry Staff is very
experienced in this specialized field since we process
thousands of MSDSs a year. Quality assurance
procedures are in place to improve the accuracy of
your data including validating CAS #' s, random checks
and reviewing MSDSs for questionable, missing or
unreadable information. MAXCOM also offers
MSDS Archiving and Updating Services in addition to
contacting manufacturers to obtain missing MSDSs.
Having MAXCOM handle your data entry needs
means that your time can be spent tending to other
important issues.
MSDS conversion options include
manual entry into a uniform, 16-section, ANSI format,
scanning or electronic import of PDF, TIFF, GIF or
other image formatted or text files from the
manufacturer’s Internet site or CD-ROM.

MSDS Scanning
MSDS Scanning is one of the data
entry options available to our customers. This can be
done by the end-user, but MAXCOM also offers
scanning as a service for those companies who don't
have the time or manpower to manage this task. MSDS
Scan utilizes your own scanner's TWAIN compliant
drivers to directly scan into our database storage
system. Quickly add MSDSs with ADF (Automatic Document
Feed) options to better utilize your scanners
abilities. Scan the document at the touch of a button.
The View button allows you to view a full screen page
of the MSDS.
Free MSDSs On The Web
If you have an Internet connection,
you can utilize the MSDSs on the Web feature to import
thousands of Manufacturers MSDSs directly into the
program. MAXCOM provides and maintains these
web links for easy access to Manufacturers MSDS
