Opens automatically when you log into MAXCOM with the Admin Functions link.  This is your chemical inventory and MSDS Index.

The MSDS Index consists of 5 columns of information relating to each chemical on the Index. 

MAXCOM ID – This is the unique number assigned by MC Technologies.  Clicking on this number will take you to a page showing the details for this particular chemical.  Clicking on the Maxcom ID Heading in the column sorts the list by Maxcom ID first in ascending, then when clicking again, in  descending orderView More Details...

Chemical Name – Lists the Chemical Name and the Synonym if listed of the chemical.  Clicking on the Chemical Name will bring up a new window displaying the actual MSDS in the Adobe Acrobat Viewer® where you can view or print the MSDS.  Clicking on the Chemical Name Heading in the  column sorts the list by Chemical Name first in ascending, then when clicking again,  descending order.  View More Details...

Manufacturer/Supplier – Lists the Manufacturer or Supplier of the listed chemicals.  Clicking on the Manufacturer/Supplier Heading in the  column sorts the list by Manufacturer/Supplier first in ascending, then when clicking again,  descending order.  View More Details...

MSDS Summary – This gives an overview of important information including, Product ID#’s, Revision Date, Physical and Health Hazards, Target Organs, Required PPE, and Routes of Entry.  This column does not sort.  View More Details...

Safe Use Guide – Identifies which Safe Use Guide to refer to for this chemical.  Clicking on this icon brings up the correct Safe Use Guide.  Clicking on the Safe Use Guide Heading in the  column sorts the list the list by Safe Use Guide Number first in ascending, then when clicking again,  descending order.  View More Details...

You can now search the Index for the necessary MSDS.  The top of the Index page holds the “Search Functions”. 

Location - Here you can select from the different site locations and sub-locations (which are shown indented in the list under their parent location).  By selecting a specific location only MSDSs for that location will be found. View More Details...

Group – This is a user-assigned field that you can use to group similar (duplications), frequently used chemicals, or extremely hazardous chemicals into custom named groups to make them easier to find.  This is a tool that you can use to narrow searches by utilizing the custom naming of groups. Hazard Level – This allows you filter the search for chemicals of a particular Hazard Level (Red, Yellow, Green, Red / Yellow).  Only chemicals that match the selected Hazard Level will be returned in your search. View More Details...

Category – Here you can filter your search by a specific Hazard Category, (i.e. 2 – Highly Flammable Gases).  You can select more than one Category in your search by holding down the <CTRL> Key when selecting Categories.  View More Details...

MSDS Status – More choices available such as Only New; Only Active; All; Only Archived.  View More Details...

Page/Chemical Count – Here you can see how many pages of chemicals and the total number of chemicals.  You can type a page number to jump to and it will go to that page as soon as you change the page number.  View More Details...

Select -  Checking the Select checkbox selects that MSDS for various functions such as to Edit Location Specific Information or for export into an Excel spreadsheet.  

Select All button - Clicking this button allows you to select All MSDSs. 

Reset Button - Resets previous filters and searches and sets to all locations.

Accept - When this appears, click to accept all selected MSDSs from our Data Entry Services Department. View More Details...
